Immigration Protection

From the federal level down to the local level a lot of the politicians who claimed they were going to stand up to Trump and were going to stand up to Mayor Adams all seem to be missing in action.  Our government is destroying the lives of New Americans, the lives of their families, and even the lives of those who have been American citizens for years. The fourth and fifth amendment of the Constitution apply to every single human on this earth, it does not matter whether they are officially a United States citizen or not, they are still granted all the rights within. That is what makes the document so special and that is what makes our country so special and so unique.

 

Why is our country terrorizing immigrants and their families?

 

For security? Immigrants commit fewer crimes than American citizens!

 

For economics? Immigrants pay more in taxes related to the amount of services they consume than American citizens!

 

For culture? New York City has always thrived as a national and international capital of culture precisely through the work and diversity of its immigrant communities.

If I am elected I will make sure that whoever is the Mayor does not cooperate and does not allow Immigration and Customs Enforcement into our neighborhoods.

I will make sure that whether someone is a citizen or not, they are able to quickly be permitted to find employment and are protected from exploitative working conditions. 

​

I will make sure that they are able to access housing.

​

I will not allow the state or the federal government to violate our city`s sanctuary laws. We will be an Ellis Island style city again.
