Other Policies

1. MORE PLACES TO SIT. There is not enough places to sit in this city. We need more benches everywhere. I will push for the city to install more benches in the park, along the sidewalk, in the subway stations, and in the train stations. If you`re reading this and thinking about how the homeless will just sleep on them and not move, you should know that I am adamantly against hostile architecture and will push the city to remove every piece of it, and if they dont, I will remove it.

2. MORE PLACES TO GO TO THE BATHROOM. I think we all know that this one is seriously needed. We all have spent money on something just to use a business` bathroom or snuck into a business to use their bathroom and hoped they would not catch us until after. I have a plan to use CitiBike space to create a new program called CitiStop where we will install state of the art toilets next to CitiBike stations at a fraction of the cost of constructing new bathrooms.

3. Foreign Policy. Since it seemed to matter so much in the primary, I will say that what is going on in Israel against the Palestinians is a genocide, full stop. Israel does have a right to exist, but not as an oppressive ethnostate. With that said I will say the rise of antisemitism I have seen in response to the action`s of the country of Israel against innocent Jewish people who do not condone or support the action`s of that country`s government has been a major concern and needs to be addressed. Equally the re-rising of Islamaphobia in response to the USA and Israel`s attack on Iran and also to the victory of Zohran Mamdani in the Mayoral Primary has been equally repugnant and disgraceful to witness and needs to be addressed. I also believe that the United States needs to grant Puerto Rico its independence and pay it reparations for the destruction of their land by US Armed Forces bombing it and US Corporations destroying their farm land. As well as repealing the Jones Act which puts such a financial burden on the people of Puerto Rico. I also believe that England should leave the north of Ireland. I also believe that we should stop selling weapons to Saudi Arabia so they can commit a genocide against Yemen. I also believe that we are doing the right thing helping Ukraine fight back against Russia.

 

I dont believe any of this should matter when considering my ability to be a formidable city council person, but if it is necessary to know what type of person I am fully and what I believe in, than I am an open book.
